Hi!
I am Flora from Hungary and my research topic is Ecopsychology. I was thinking to give the performance a name, that has something to do with FLOW (Flow in Torino or Maria and Torino's Flow). Because Flow has to do with Water (...) and also with Spirituality and Emotionality (the theory of Flow from Csíkszentmihályi).
And as I saw - our Asa Maria had also a performance named like that. Maybe you would find it interesting to go on with that...?It's just an idea...

hii every body ,it's a little bit difficult for the name ,i agree with you Maria ,i'm thinking about "crystal" ,or "kharir":its the wonderful noise of the water in arabic, "flow" also is nice ,but maria is there any idea you prepared for us about the performance we are going to do ,the name must reflect the performance it self ..or we will create and improvise in torino ,that's what i understood? , should the four groups work all together or every group will work apart?
I guess the dansers and the music group should play something mixing all our cultures together ,the video group will make somthing that will be showed behind us in a data show or a projecter ,,the worlds group will write the sénario for us ,isn't it ? Whatever it will be i'm sure it will be wonderful ...

Dear friends
I think we have to think of a general name for the performance as we don´t yet know what will happen in Torino. FLOW is a general name but not so good as it is the name of my film.
Nothing is really planned for the content of the performance more than it should be about water, it´s supposed to be a process and you are the creators. I have some ideas, but I don´t want to disturb your creativity with those. We´ll use them if it´ s necessary.
When we meet in Torino we will discuss the ideas that you all have and together decide how to proceed. We will work in small groups, 2 groups together, 3 groups together, 4 groups together, the whole group.
It´s important that the performance melts down to a whole and complete expression with all the individual expressions incorperated. In your group you can work with the whole group: the dance group decides that everyone will dance tango or the whole group will sound like a drop.

I´m sure that everything will get clearer (or not!) when we meet in Torino.

I suggested to Jonathan that sub-group 5 (actions) could think more of the whole performance and also keep it together during the workshop and when we perform. Group 5 also can think of actions and I know that there has been discussions at Facebook about this. Very good. Keep it up!!!
Group 4 (words) think of how and what to tell (shout or whisper!) the audience. Will it be acting, recitation or...
Group 3 (video) think of different ways to use video and how to show the theme from different angles. What to film in Torino? Using video from your countries?
Group 2 (images....) same as above
Group 1 (Sound - music- movement - dance) please bring instrument and equipment that´s possible to take on the flight. I put these groups together because in my mind they need and can use each other.

I think, we needn`t prepare very specific name, we need large field for realization of it, so I propose more multivalued name:
drop, level, waterfall, under level

Flown: maybe Flown space – as a contemporary perception of mixing virtual and real space

Personally I like level very much it contains a lot and gives associations.

By the way Peter, Bill Viola is one of my favourites!
Samah you´re thinking in the right direction regarding the performance. We will create it together!

Thank you Ms Bengtsson for the clarification of our rule in the Performance and for the photos of the theatre where we’ll present our out put… it’s so beautiful!!
For the name of our performance, I suggest that it be in the Latin language, first because it’s the language that it was the most used in the intercultural dialogue between the countries of the Euro-med region. Then it’s a style that can “catch the view” of people.

For example: Mare Nostrum (Mediterranean)
Aqua noster futurum (water our future)

Or in universal language:

H2O (Help to Water!)
